Jingles Ayres 42in Extra Carved Full Restore

Jingles is an F H Ayres extra carved wooden rocking horse, 42 inches high. Extra carving means that he has a bit more carving definition on his neck and hind legs, as well as different style rails on the stand. 

He dates to around 1900. He retains some of his original gesso but has been overpainted and given a lovely grey real horse hair mane and tail, and hand made top quality leather tack, complete with a pommel. 

He retains his original decorative nails, a nice touch. His stand is all original and has been checked and refurbished, and given a shellac and wax finish.

Jingles is in good condition and can be put back to being ridden by a young child, as well as being an excellent investment for the future.
